FAQs About Determenology and Cosmetic Surgeries
The General Surgery Center at Al-Hakil Medical Group is considered one of the leading general surgery centers, as it includes a select group of Arab surgeons qualified to perform all types of surgeries such as hernia surgery, hemorrhoidectomy, bowel resection, gallbladder removal, thyroidectomy, breast surgery, and others.
With the tremendous advancement in surgery using endoscopy, surgery has become a simple procedure with a higher success rate compared to traditional open surgeries and without complications or risks.
The recovery period has become much shorter after using endoscopy, as the intervention is limited by inserting the camera and surgical instruments after inflating the abdomen with gas through four small incisions in the abdomen instead of open surgeries using traditional methods, and the patient can be discharged on the same day of surgery.
Adhering to the doctor's instructions and prescription is the way to avoid wound infections after surgery, where wounds are cleaned with antiseptics such as povidone-iodine, and antibiotics are taken to prevent infection.
Depending on the patient's condition and the type of surgery required, the doctor may decide on the main tests needed before surgery, such as blood tests, coagulation studies, kidney and liver function tests, and others.
The doctor determines the optimal procedure for the surgery in terms of using endoscopy or traditional surgery based on the safety ratio, expected outcome, and the patient's health condition to achieve the surgical goal and overcome the patient's problem.
